Tabius - Automatic Tab Grouping Assistant
Tabius is a customizable and easy-to-use Tab Grouping assistant for Chrome. This open-source extension is a must-have for users who frequently use tab grouping or have been unable to use it due to limited options.
With Tabius, you can automatically create new tab groups when you open a link in a new tab. It also offers the option to auto-collapse inactive tab groups, ensuring a clutter-free browsing experience. Additionally, you can limit the browser to create groups only if the new tab matches the original tab's domain.
One of the standout features of Tabius is the ability to create custom tab grouping rules. You can define specific names and colors for tab groups based on your favorite websites. This makes it easy to organize and identify tabs at a glance.
The extension also allows you to save your favorite tab groups for later use and restore them whenever needed. If there are certain websites from which you don't want to create tab groups, you can easily add them to the blacklist.
Tabius provides various other features, including the option to close an existing tab group when there is only one tab left in it, limiting the maximum number of tabs allowed in a group, and automatically naming tab groups based on the domain or full URL.
You can view and manage your current tab groups by simply clicking on the extension icon in the toolbar. Furthermore, Tabius syncs all your settings, tab groups, and custom lists with your browser, ensuring a seamless experience across devices.
Version 2.0 of Tabius brings a major redesign, with the extension being rebuilt from the ground up. New features include the ability to save and amend favorite tab groups, a more useful popup, a "nameless" group naming option, and various bug fixes.
Tabius is a valuable tool for users who want to enhance their tab grouping experience in Chrome. It is developed by Faisal Ahmed and is available for free on the Chrome Web Store.
